Biography:

I finished a BS in Facilities Mgt. in 1988 and an MBA in 1990. I worked in what was then intelligent building controls via primitive networks. In 1991 I briefly worked for WordPerfect in Orem because I had seen a network once. Later that year, I started working for UVCC as a Network Mgr. Three years later I was being asked to teach networking so often I did not have time to do my job, so I applied for an open teaching position. I've been teaching IT since 1994. Early on I was interested in OSs other than Windows and began to play with OS/2. When IBM dropped OS/2, I looked at Linux. Linux has been and continues to be a significant portion of the (now) UVU IT degree (and CS) programs. I'm just beginning the dissertation phase of a PhD in Digital Sys Comm from ISU.
