I'm a CS student at BYU, and I work in Computer Support for the Chemistry Department on campus. I'm a little bit of a non-typical computer geek (or nerd if you prefer) in that until about 4 years ago my knowledge of computers was limited to what I needed to play RPG games and some minor tinkering I picked up alongside some AutoCAD work in high school. I've been using Linux for 2 1/2 years now, mostly Ubuntu and Gentoo.
I provide web and email hosting. I have various plan types available. If you need a website, email, or both, contact me. If you already have a website or email, Stout Hosting LLC can probably save you some money.
Ex Army 19D / Pathfinder, now a security consultant / pen tester and developer.
I'm a senior developer and IT manager for Qualtrics, and the owner of Oak Hills Consulting. I do BSD and Linux administration and web and database development for small business.
I've long been a programmer, but after getting an AS degree from SLCC in CIS I decided to go to film school at the U of U. I have been a perl programmer/web developer since 1997.
I have been using F/OSS since 2000, when I returned from an LDS mission. My brother, Hans, introduced me to Linux at that time. I'm a pragmatist -- I use Windows and other commercial software when necessary -- but I do prefer F/OSS when available and appropriate.
I've worked professionally as a computer programmer for eight years, with a two year haitus from 1998-2000. I currently do internal systems development at Prosper, Inc. in Provo. I am most familiar with web applications programming. I have extensive experience with web services technology.
I am an Australian citizen working in Utah since October 2005. I graduated from University back in 1999 and quite accidentally fell into a career in Embedded Software Development, starting with an Australian Multiport Serial Card / Terminal Server manufacturer called Stallion Technologies. I've since worked for a number of appliance manufacturers including ePipe Inc, SnapGear / CyberGuard and my current employer Opengear LLC.
Opengear builds aggressively priced hardware based Remote Management appliances with a focus on security. Think Console Servers with value adds for remotely managing the rest of the equipment in the Data Center. Opengear is committed to releasing source and hardware specifications back to the community.
