Worked in enterprise software (SCM & CRM) for 10 years, and have moved to hardware for last 3 years. Currently work for Supermicro Computer out of San Jose, CA.

Family with 4 kids and a cute dog, living in Orem. I'm also a novice beekeeper with 1 hive, hoping to get some honey at the end of each year and 1 additional hive each year.

I enjoy open source and support as much as I've been able to, mostly through work and the little spare time I can make.

Currently the system he administers receives more than 7 billion front-end transactions daily. Ryan also administers one of the ten largest MySQL installations in the world handling over 300 billion queries daily.

With a deep understanding of POSIX systems, the Linux kernel, and GNU tools Ryan has been able to provide professional level services to many businesses. As a programmer Ryan has worked with Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP, and C/C++ to create countless business critical applications. Ryan currently resides in Lehi, Utah with his wife and five children.
